My sweet little nieces are here for Thanksgiving all the way from sunny Arizona.....we welcomed them to NY with our first real snow storm of the season!!!!

Found this piece on craigslist, loved the size, style, details.....not so in love with the woodtone, it actually looks nice in the picture but it was the circa 1960/1970 dark faux walnut look and I wasnt feeling it!  We are in the process of a little mini-makeover for our master bedroom and I had been on the hunt for a new dresser since the current one I had since high school....yes thats right and since we are approaching my 20th reunion I thought why not spring for a new one....well new to us of course and well under the pricetag of a new one...this has dove tailed drawers and is a solid piece not like some of the cheap-o furniture today!

DIY little girl bedskirt!

I bribed promised Emmie a super fancy schmancy bedskirt since long story short a certain crafty Aunt Martha was supposed to make her a tutu for her bed when she tossed the crib and went into this big girl bed but now that she is 5 we decided to move on......so she finally agreed to take off her bed rails!! 4 days later happy to report she hasn't fallen out! {yet!}
